Fix Clermont is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to ending the killing of lost and homeless pets at Clermont County Ohio’s animal shelter through the use of empirically proven, cost-effective methods that have already ended shelter killing in over 200 other cities.
We believe (and think you do to) that killing healthy, adoptable animals is contrary to the values and morals of our community. We also believe that given the opportunity to save these animals that our community will rally to their aid. Visit the How to Help page to learn how you can be part of the effort to Fix Clermont and end the needless killing of sheltered animals.
Killing in an era when demonstrated solutions are not only available but save money, boost our economy and reflect the desires and wishes of our community is reprehensible. The 11 programs of the No Kill Equation are common sense practices that, when used collectively and consistently, have proven results in saving over 90% of all sheltered animals.
The mandatory programs and services of the No Kill Equation include:
- TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) Program for Community Cats
- High-Volume, Low-Cost Spay/Neuter
- Rescue Groups
- Foster Care
- Comprehensive Adoption Programs
- Pet Retention
- Medical and Behavior Prevention & Rehabilitation
- Public Relations/Community Involvement
- Proactive Redemptions
- A Compassionate Director
